Get inspired and update your knowledge. Connect with other colleagues, and get more out of your work and yourself.
Welcome to myCAD Day 2026!
High Tech Campus, Eindhoven — myCAD Day is the go-to free event for engineers who want to get more out of their software, processes, and knowledge. Discover the latest developments in SOLIDWORKS, learn how to engineer smarter and more efficiently, and exchange experiences with peers from the manufacturing industry. You’ll go home with ideas, techniques, and features that you can try out right away the next workday.
The opening remarks will be given by Dolf Broekaart (CEO of Visiativ Benelux). The plenary session will feature “What’s New” for SOLIDWORKS 2027 & 3DEXPERIENCE, presented by Berry Mulder & Mattias de Craecker.
Then choose your favorites from the breakout sessions and create your own personalized inspiration itinerary! The closing presentation will be given by Diederik Jekel.

Round 1
-
The 50 Buttons SOLIDWORKS Is Missing
How many tasks do you repeat every day in SOLIDWORKS? Renaming files, checking drawings, creating exports, or going through the same steps over and over again. In this session, you’ll discover how to handle many of those small, time-consuming tasks more efficiently.
Speaker: Jeremy Stam (Visiativ Benelux)
-
From CAD to Production, Without Separate Excel Files (ENG)
A design is complete, but that’s often just the beginning: exporting bills of materials, keeping track of Excel files, communicating changes, and making sure everyone is working with the same information. Discover how to streamline the transition from engineering to production and eliminate manual data entry.
Speaker: Sébastien Cultet (Visiativ FR)
-
Managing Spare Parts and Documentation More Effectively (ENG)
A machine has been delivered, but years later, someone still needs to be able to figure out which part goes where and what needs to be ordered. How do you ensure that engineers don’t have to compile parts lists and documentation over and over again?
Speaker: Jean-Marc Salaun (Visiativ FR)
-
Where do you unknowingly waste time in your engineering process? (ENG)
Searching for, converting, sharing, and checking files—and performing the same tasks over and over again: individually, these take minutes; collectively, they can add up to hours. We’ll take a look at the hidden time wasters in engineers’ daily work and how you can reduce them.
Speaker: Matthieu Payet (Visiativ FR)
Round 2
-
AI for Engineers
AI is everywhere, but how does it actually benefit you as an engineer? Not a futuristic narrative full of buzzwords, but relatable examples of how AI can help with design, research, analysis, and everyday engineering tasks.
Speakers: Kevin de Smet (Visiativ Benelux) & Francesco Oorthuizen (Dassault Systèmes)
-
Less Administration, More Engineering with AI
No one becomes an engineer to fill out forms, transcribe information, or manually track project data. Yet, a lot of time goes into these tasks without us even realizing it. Discover where AI can take over administrative work and how you can free up more time for the real engineering work.
Speaker: Lars Boerrigter (Visiativ Benelux)
-
30 SOLIDWORKS Tips in 30 Minutes
You may work with SOLIDWORKS every day, but are you using it as efficiently as possible? In this hands-on session, you’ll learn smart workflows, shortcuts, and useful features that will help you model faster and avoid common frustrations.
Speaker: Walter Poot (Visiativ Benelux)
-
Sales creates the next quote on its own
A customer wants a customized machine, and before Sales can provide a price, the request is already back with Engineering. Sound familiar? Discover how you can document product knowledge and design rules so that Sales can create many more configurations and quotes independently, without needing an engineer every time.
Speaker: Martin Pieters (Visiativ Benelux)
Round 3
-
More Than Just CAD: Simulation & SIMULIA
MODSIM (ENG)A design may look good, but how can you tell early enough whether it will actually work? By bringing design and simulation closer together, you can test design choices sooner and identify problems before a prototype hits the production floor.
Speaker: John McGready ( Dassault Systèmes)
-
The Future of Cloud CAD
CAD without cumbersome installations, no more files scattered across local drives, and the ability to work on the same design from different locations. What does cloud CAD mean in practice for an engineer? In this session, you’ll experience what’s changing—and what remains familiar.
Speaker: Jeremy Stam (Visiativ Benelux)
-
Stop repeating and start engineering
Creating variants, adjusting dimensions, regenerating drawings: with configure-to-order products, every order seems different, yet as an engineer, you often find yourself repeating the same steps. Discover which design knowledge and repetitive tasks you can automate so you have time left for the work that truly requires engineering expertise.
Speaker: Jeroen Spee (Visiativ Benelux)
-
From CATIA V5 to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (ENG)
Years of models, established workflows, and engineers who know CATIA V5 inside and out: making the switch isn’t something you do on a whim. What changes for engineers when they move to CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform? This session explores the transition from a practical, day-to-day perspective.
Speaker: Peter Hawkins (Dassault Systèmes)
